I don’t know about you, but I don’t play tennis. And I wonder about those ladies who want a tennis bracelet. Do they play Tennis?
I was curious. How exactly did the Tennis Bracelet get its name?
I’m guessing, before I plunge into the story, that some of y our already know “how”. But for those who don’t, here’s a little trivia.
It turns out that during the 1987 US Open, Chris Evert (tennis star at the time) asked to stop the tennis match in the middle of the game, to look for her bracelet because it had come loose. It was a diamond bracelet. Simple, and with a clasp. Not a good one it turns out. From there on end, the kind of bracelet she was wearing was named the “tennis bracelet”.
A tennis bracelet is a strand of small diamonds put together to make a bracelet. Also known as an eternity or inline bracelet.
It’s mostly worn by women who want something they can wear that beautiful, but simple and goes with everything, but doesn’t get in the way of their daily activities.
Hence it has constant and consistent popularity.
Here but a few different designs we’ve come across.
